I have no idea why exactly, but this music video from Gwen Stefani's second solo album haunts me and leaves me speechless every time I see it. It is visually one of the most gorgeous and beautiful music videos I believe I have seen in the 26+ years that I have lived here on Earth and it's very important to me. Which is kinda ironic because it talks about the ending of a romantic relationship and seeing as I have never been in one...yeah quite ironic. I'm not sure why I have grown such an emotional attachment to it in the three, four years that it has been out but it's a very important song to me (the same goes for the Britney Spears ballad "Unusual You" since again, I haven't been in a relationship before, but yeah those two rank up there).
I know that Gwen Stefani claimed after "The Sweet Escape" that she wouldn't come out with another solo album but I have loved, adored and replayed both her albums numerous times and I wish she would come out with some new material. Whether it would be as a reunion with her band No Doubt (who have been collaborating on a new album for what seems like 2+ years) or solo, I would be very very happy. She makes me happy somehow with her personality and style and I wish that she'd come back onto the pop scene. Yeah that's my two cents...I know this is very random and weird but I've just been into her music/music video the past two days or so.
It won't embed for some reason but click here to see the music vid.
