"From a Friend to a Stranger" by Emerson Hart / "You Could be Happy" by Snow Patrol
These two songs are songs that have great meaning for me...I've explained in past entries before (some private, some that I've unapologetically left open to the public) that I've never had a romantic relationship before and struggle with creating and maintaining friendships with others. It's been a factor in my life that has left me feeling completely alone a lot of the time and without anyone to rely on...but I never forget the people that stop talking to me. The lyrics in "From a Friend to a Stranger" that go So, from a friend to a stranger, How's your life, In your current situation? Wish you happiness and freedom, And I wish you life, When you reach your destination, Your destination, Your destination... because IDK I guess like that's something I'd say to some of them if I ever saw them again. Like I get that they had to stop being my friend to move on for personal growth/maturity and it wasn't anything intentional. I'd love to catch up with them and hear about everything that has happened, and let them know that I've only wished the best for them in the time between our meet ups.
Do the things that you always wanted to
Without me there to hold you back, don't think, just do
More than anything I want to see you go
Take a glorious bite out of the whole world
