We started to have somewhat warmer weather before it got stone-cold again this current week and therefor Jimmy Eat World, Stars, The Fray and James Morrison all started returning to my top plays for the week that ended March 30th. I also had my iPod on random and shuffle and learned that Imagine Dragon's debut deluxe album is pretty amazing and may be added to my all time favorites.
What I Watched
Olympus has Fallen
I wasn't aware going into the movie that it was such a topical film considering the way that things are esculating between North Korea and the United States these days (spoiler alert: N. Koreans are the terrorists in this White House down film). It's also ridiculously violent and disturbing with examples of waterboarding and other gratitituous violence. It's good, just really gory. And probably the weaker of two White House overtaken films coming out this year with the executive producer from 'Indepence Day' coming out with 'White House Down' at the end of June 2013 with Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum.
So I will come clean and admit this: the Twilight films are a cheesy good time and a guilty pleasure of me so I was mildly interested in the newest film based off of a Stephanie Myers novel. It had an interesting premise but honestly it was a pretty quiet and action-less film. It was pretty and the star was decent enough but I'm kind of glad that it won't likely get any sequels and I kinda saw the ending coming from a mile away. Wait for the DvD tho guys, and don't even buy it - RedBox it.
