Ed Sheeran returned to my most-plays in a big way as the colder weather came thru and the first track off his album, 'The A Team', was ever more true. Also noteworthy was the return of Brand New to my plays which could also have been affected by the weather as the last two times I saw them live (in Sonic with Ty Finn and Johns Hopkins with Ash) it was rainy and cool out. Other than that, it was a bunch of the usual suspects and I guess I should mention that Lady Gaga's third studio album 'Artpop' came out and after skipping all the leaks I was still underwhelmed by it all. The sad truth is that there's a reason one of the labelheads said everything sounded better and better as it was played and then they picked 'Applause as a lead single - most marketable of the few standout tracks in an underwhelming album. I don't see much mainstream success with her and this album to be honest.
What I Watched
Revenge, Season 2 (back half of,) and Season 3
So I know I'm not the only one who has had a so-so relationship with this drama and gave up on it about halfway thru last season with all of the twists and turns and complicated plotlines it had. Well, I had heard that season 3 was remarkably better and so I forced myself to watch the rest of season 2 and caught up on season 3 so far and goodness gracious! This new season has been a breath of fresh air and I'm not sure if it's because the creator Mike Kelly left the show on creative differences or whatever but it's simpler and a bit more juicier this year so far. It's returned my love from the first season and makes me eager to start watching this show on a weekly basis again.
